Data collected

Contact form: name, email address, phone (optional), topic and message. Newsletter: email address only.

Technically, a hash of your IP address is stored - never the address itself. That hash is salted and is used solely to rate-limit abusive submissions.

Purpose and legal basis

To answer your enquiry (pre-contractual steps) and, for the newsletter, to send you information you explicitly requested (consent).

Newsletter signup uses double opt-in: until you click the confirmation link, no address is considered subscribed and nothing is sent to you.

Retention period

Contact enquiries are kept for 24 months, then deleted automatically. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Recipients

Your data is neither sold nor shared. It is processed by the site’s technical subprocessors: Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery) and Vercel (hosting).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise it, write to contact@bassimwrak.com; you will receive a reply within 30 days.

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Analytics, which sets no cookies and collects no data that could identify you. No consent banner is therefore required.

A technical cookie is set only if you enable preview mode for the site under development. It is not used for any measurement.
